Billionaire Who Wants To Fund Education For Chibok Girls

AFRICAN AMERICAN billionaire Robert Smith, is planning to fund the education of the kidnapped Chibok girls by enrolling them at the American University of Nigeria.
The scholarship funded by Smith will include the girls’ room and board and their yearly tuition, which can hit close to $11,000. In a statement from Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, he said that Smith will also guide the educational dreams of “others who will hopefully be eventually set free.”
Smith, 54, attained his wealth after establishing Vista Equity Partners, which is now worth $26 billion. His own personal net worth stands at $2.5 billion. At the top of 2016, Smith granted his alma mater, Cornell University, with a $50 million check and became the chairman of Carnegie Hall.
The lives of 276 girls were changed in 2014 when they were kidnapped by militants of Boko Haram. Reports state that 219 girls are still being held captive.
