Plateau PDP Vows To Reclaims Its Mandate From Sen Dariye

The Plateau State chapter of the People Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to reclaim its mandate from  the Senator representing Plateau Central in the National Assembly Chief Joshua Dariye who defected from PDP to APC on Thursday, on the floor of the National Assembly.
Hon. Amos Gombi PDP deputy State Chairman, while addressing journalists in Jos yesterday on the matter said for the records Senator Dariye contested and was elected on the platform of PDP in 2015 general elections.
But in a swift reaction, APC State Secretary, Barr. Bashair Musa Sati said APC will receive the Senator with two arms saying Chief Dariye is a big asset to APC. According to him, as  a former governor, and now a serving senator he has electoral value and as he is a grass root mobilizer.
According to Gombi by leaving the PDP, Senator Dariye can not under the circumstance lawfully and legally retain the seat of the Senator representing Plateau Central as his action is clearly in violation of the provision of section 68 (1) (g) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended.
