LGs urged to embark on useful projects

The National Assembly consultant on Projects Monitoring, Kayode Adegbayo has called on local governments in the country to embark on projects that would impact on the lives of the people at the grassroots.
Adegbayo spoke at Ogrute, Enugu Ezike, in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Council while on inspection tour of projects executed by the council.
He said that the call had become imperative as some local government chairmen had formed the habit of executing projects which were not beneficial to the people, pointing out that such actions will defeat the aims and objectives for the creation of the councils as the third-tier of government.
